Gorgeous and talented Pakistani actress Kubra Khan, recognized for her thoughtful choice of unique roles, recently discussed her decision to join the drama “Noor Jahan.” While on her UK tour for Palestine fundraising, Kubra shared what influenced her to take on a project that initially appeared to be a standard narrative.

Initially, Kubra thought the character of Noor Bano would be part of a typical drama focused on the usual saas-bahu conflicts. However, after reading the complete script, her viewpoint changed.

“I initially believed ‘Noor Jahan’ was a very conventional show and not something I would consider,” Kubra explained. “But after reading the story, I realized it wasn’t about saas-bahu toxicity; it explores generational traumas, with Noor Bano being the one who ultimately breaks those cycles.”

This deeper theme of overcoming inherited traumas motivated Kubra to take on the role, representing a shift from standard family dramas. She expressed that the chance to portray a character like Noor Bano, who fosters change and healing, was an opportunity she couldn’t ignore.

Kubra is known for selecting roles with significant and impactful narratives. Her notable dramas include “Ali Allah Aur Insan,” “Sang-e-Mah,” “Sang-e-Mar Mar,” and “Jannat Se Aagay.” By choosing “Noor Jahan,” she opted for a project that initially seemed like a conventional saas-bahu story but revealed itself to be much more meaningful.

Kubra’s choice to star in “Noor Jahan” continues her pattern of delivering powerful performances that resonate with audiences.
