An International Cricket Council (ICC) delegation visited the National Stadium in Karachi on Wednesday to assess the preparations for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025. The delegation arrived in Karachi the previous night and inspected the ongoing construction work and arrangements at the stadium this morning.

Following their visit to Karachi, the ICC team will continue to Islamabad and Lahore for the next phase of their inspection. They will compile a comprehensive report on the venues and preparations after completing their tour.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is set to take place in Pakistan from February to March. However, India’s participation remains uncertain as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is awaiting government approval to travel to the country.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has allocated Rs 12.80 billion for upgrades to the three venues—Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, National Stadium in Karachi, and Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium—that will host the tournament.

The ICC Champions Trophy is scheduled for February 19 to March 9 next year. Group A will feature Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh, while Group B includes Australia, England, Afghanistan, and South Africa.
